A is for afternoon tea

To celebrate finishing our time at uni together, my course mates and I went out for afternoon tea at Coombe Abbey. Coombe Abbey is a beautiful manor house, hotel and restaurant near our university, and one of my favourite places. The grounds are stunning. I have enjoyed multiple picnics there in summer and some picturesque walks there in winter. But this time, we went into the hotel and enjoyed a super yummy lunch.

The reason we chose to go out for afternoon tea was because we decided, as a way to ensure that we stayed in contact after we all leave uni, we would take it in turns to organise a meet up. Each meet up would include an activity, the first beginning with A, the second with B and so on. I organised the first one, hence A for Afternoon Tea.

The food was absolutely delicious, and it was great to have a catch up with the girls. I will miss seeing them almost everyday, and I'm already looking forward to the second meet up.

  1. Gosh! Coombe Abbey looks absolutely enchanting. I love the architecture and the feel of the place. Not to mention the mouthwatering sight of that food tray. Haha! I wish more properties like those exist elsewhere, but alas, only history and a fine sense of beauty can produce such magnificence. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! :)
