My sister is AMAZING

A major congratulations to my sister who got into her first choice university last Thursday! So this September she will be heading off to Portsmouth University to study American Studies. Well done Abi :) I couldn't be prouder

To celebrate we went out for a family meal to our local Indian restaurant. And of course we had to take some photos before we left.

Yes thats right, my younger sister is taller than me (and I'm wearing ridiculously high heels, and she's only got mini ones on)

And then the photos got a bit weird…

My youngest sister had to get involved for some family weirdness

And then I attempted to photo an Outfit of the Evening, and lets just say it didn't go well. I felt so awkward in front of the camera, so if Emma or anyone else fancies giving me a few tips (aside from get a better camera, I'm working on it!) I'd love to hear. Here are my failed attempts:

What is my hand even doing in this photo?

Can you sense the awkwardness?!

Seeing as I've started..

Dress: Topshop
Shoes: New Look
Necklace: New Look
Bag: Urban Outfitters
Belt: Vintage from my Grandma
Coat: Not entirely sure as it was a present I received a few years ago,
but I think it was from a little independent
shop that has closed down now

P.s. Also a massive thank you to my sister Izzie, who has looked after me brilliantly today whilst I've been in bed feeling ill. She's a superstar!

OOTD: And full of life, and full of love

Check me out getting all fancy with my editing! Seriously, can we all just take a second to congratulate me (or laugh at how long it took me to take and edit this pictures...)

What I wore:
Cropped Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Belt - Topshop
Sunglasses - Mango
Shoes: Primark

I bought this cropped top a couple of days ago and I think it's going to become a firm favourite of mine. It's a gorgeous bright pink without being florescent or garish, which makes it easy to wear (plus it emphasises my tan, yeah?) I got the top from Topshop, where embarrassingly most of my outfit is from, which also probably explains why I'm a poor student.

I realise that I mentioned my belt is from Topshop but you can't make it out in the pictures, but it's a really beautiful belt that's perfect to wear with so many outfits. Here's a picture so you can fully appreciate it ;)

I wore this outfit when I went out for lunch with my boyfriend. I treated him (another reason why I'm poor) to lunch at a restaurant called Mint where they have a slightly different take to other cafes. Rather than having a fixed menu, they choose what food they are going to offer each day by seeing what food they can source that's fresh and seasonal. I really enjoyed it there, the food was delicious.

But now he's gone it's time to put my head down a get this coursework done and dusted. Our last deadline is the 24th May, so after that it will be unspoilt sun and fun for me :)

OOTD and a wishlist fantasy

I had the most amazing weekend. My mum and dad flew over to see me from England and we had a blast! The highlight has to be the market in Marsaxlokk (pronounced Marsa-shlock) and the fish platter we had on Saturday night at my favourite restaurant on the whole island (check out my instagram for photos, becominghugo)

Here's one of the outfits I wore whilst they were visiting. I'm wearing my new necklace from Tally Weijl which I'm completely in love with. I think it will be perfect for summer, plus I got it for reasonably cheap too :)

I'm wearing an H&M top tucked into my new Topshop skirt. Even though I have an irrational fear of leggings I have managed to convince myself to buy these lacy ones from Urban Outfitters. Over the top I have got my Topshirt shirt that I've had for years.

Also, I just want to add.....how nice is this jacket!!

Wonderful You

It's from Zara and I can't get it out of my head. I think it's beautiful! I have stolen saw these pictures on Megan's blog (Wonderful You), who I have only just discovered and think her blog is brilliant. And she gives me serious hair envy, anyone else agree? Sadly though, I don't have a spare £100 to purchase the jacket, so this is one item that will be staying on my wishlist, damn.

Well, I hope you guys had a lovely weekend too. I haven't done an OOTD in a while, so I hope you can excuse the rubbish lighting in the pictures, but it was the best I could do. Please let me know if you liked it and if you'd want to see more?

Olympics OOTD

Yesterday I went to the Olympics! It was such a good day. My family and I went to go and watch the basketball (Dad's choice), but how could I pass up the opportunity to soak up the Olympic spirit in the Olympic Park.

My youngest sister and me at the Olympic Park

I thought I would do an OOTD post for you and I was quite pleased with the outfit I chose in the end. I think it looks pretty and girly without being too dressy. Plus most of the items are new and I was desperate to wear them :)

Top: Zara
The top I wore is from Zara and I am totally in love with it. It's a white/cream colour, slightly sheer and has beautiful detailing on the shoulders and cuffs.

My new jeans are from Topshop. They're the 'Leigh' design, super skinny and have a dappled effect on them.
Jeans: Topshop

I kept the accessories simple, so as to not over crowd the outfit. The belt I wore was from h&m and is a gorgeous rose gold colour. I have a feeling I'll be wearing this lots over the next couple of months.

Belt: h&m
The watch I wore was from Asos. It has a dark leopard print strap and a gold watch face. I wear it every day and feel lost without it. I also wore some beautiful stud earrings that were a present from my boyfriend. Sadly I couldn't get a picture of them as my iPhone wouldn't focus on them properly and all the pictures turned out blurry, but there are white gold, yellow gold and rose gold.

Watch: ASOS

I had loads of fun, and it was a brilliant day out. Go team GB and congrats on hosting such a wonderful event (oooh, aren't I getting patriotic).
